The concept doesn't exist in the Mac OS. In more than 15 years on this site yours is the first query I recall that mentions it. It does seem to me though that this kind of repetitive work is exactly what computers are good at, and you should be looking at apps that will automate that process for you.
In 2016, BBEdit 11.6 introduced a free mode that matched TextWrangler's feature set, and in 2017, Bare Bones sunsetted support and development for TextWrangler. Currencier 2 4. 19 A plain text editor like BBEdit, TextWrangler did not have a robust set of formatting and style options.

- BBEdit's release notes remain the gold standard for comprehensiveness and clarity. One important change: Bare Bones has officially sunsetted TextWrangler — it's replaced by a free mode in BBEdit itself. BBEdit's free mode has more of BBEdit's full feature set than TextWrangler ever did.

Really? I'm looking at apps like BBEdit or utilities like TextSoap that can do this in one keystroke in a second. Might take a little figuring out to get it working, but once done it's done.
